Tutor Orientation Training
Thank you for all of those of you who attended the training last week. It was especially helpful to have some of our long-term tutors join the training. It was our first time doing the training online so we learned a lot! We are planning to run the next training in the fall so stay tuned if you missed this last one. The pre-activities are still accessible so I encourage you to work through those to help you build skills to tutor remotely:
Pre- activities include -
- Working with Adult Learners Online Training (if you have already done this training we would ask you to review the summary at the end and complete the certificate).
- A Ted Talk, and activity
- Photo Activity.
- Practicing with Zoom/WhatsApp with family/friends.
- Creating a short phone dialogue.
- An online web-quest to practice Zoom or WhatsApp.
